When he disappeared for a few days this place was as calm as Roberto Martinez in a relegation scrap.

I apologise and will bite my tongue in future. I always know any post I do having a dig at certain other posters posts will always bring out the others in force to defend him and/or attack me. I've put all the usual suspects on ignore now, so won't be able to see the posts that rile me anyway!

Ironic post attacking me for being paranoid about people attacking my views :lol: Not sure why you even feel the need to comment on me to be honest considering at no stage have you contributed to the actual debate at hand, and have spent the time making snide remarks my way? Anyway, I'll put you on my block list and I suggest you do the same if my posts inspire such negative responses such as the last couple.

Last warning. Get the thread back on topic. Any more squabbling or in fighting and the I'll be issuing infractions.
 
I like Bale but all this means is one more year to his current contract which in itself is no bad thing but the main drive is ultimately to get more cash when we sell him next summer.

And seeing as Bale was gonna stay this year he signed the contract to get that extra million for the year - might as well - not as if there will be a shortage of takers next summer.

It's the kinda foresight which Arsenal seem to lack, resulting in them getting jack brick for their stars.

Wasnt sayin it was a bad thing but just that it aint really as much about loyalty but im not moaning. One more season and hopefully he will be fudgein brilliant
 
So with AVB coming on board and Bale set for atleast one more year for certain, will we see Bale played as a LB in a 4-3-3 or will he simply move forward a bit to the left wide player in the front 3? Heck he could even move to the right side of the front 3 too. He seemed to play well in this role for Wales for a few games if i remember correctly.

whats the consensus on this?

I can't see AVB moving him back. Maybe if we're behind in a game as part of a tactical reshuffle. I do wonder what we will do in January when BAE goes to the ACN.
 
would just like to mention that a significant amount of people crucified harry for playing bale on the right and at left back...would be interesting to see the reaction if AVB does it or whoevere we get

Well if we get JV he can play at LB, he has done so several times for his national team.
