Seems to be a lot of vague talk about his family causing the problem or being part of it. I know very little about the guy's personal life but what a waste. Feel sorry for him. I know it's easy to say "he hasn't worked hard enough" but he's a 26 year old who clearly has problems.

Truth will probably come out some day - I just hope it's after some Lazarus type resurrection because Alli loved this club - you can see it in the AoN documentary.

Honestly I feel so fcuking sad on the situation, this lad should have been the best in his role in Europe, what ever has happened its just sad

Yep. Exactly my reaction. Sadness that it has gone so wrong for him. I know there will be many who see it as of his own making. Maybe it is, I don’t know what’s behind it all. Perhaps we’ll learn more as time goes on. But he was such an integral part of the Poch years and such a joy to watch that I can’t feel anything other than sad for how his career is now panning out. Whatever the problem is I hope he can resolve things and at least have a happy life even if not an enduring successful football one.

But that is part of it. Ordering multiple shishas daily from my mates company is not the lifestyle choice of an elite athlete.

Yeah but f**k knows what the lad has had to deal with in his life or is currently dealing with that might be causing that sort of behaviour.

I can't think of anyone else who has fallen that far off the cliff edge - I'm sure there is a lot we don't know.

Yeh in my last job loads of talk that there was something seriously going on with family, never made privy to what but that was the word. Like you say regardless there is a level of the public feeling they own players, stone me I am guilty of it but you never truly know. Loads of cliched comments like "for the money they are on" "thats whay you get for playing fortnight" etc in reality they are humans too.

For all the money in the game you have to believe more needs to be done for players in terms of mental health, there have been calls of it being made a rule that all clubs have a mental health specialist employed FT, I think its a great idea

Shame was so good back in the day, got to be a lot more going on in the background that we don't know about. Still only 26, time to get back to a decent level still if he can apply himself.
