Obviously I still support Boris, but those statistics are absolutely shocking. Why do police waste their time on this? They don't in the Netherlands and it works well enough!
 
On this issue, Leeds actually isn't.

A choice between Boris, Ken and Paddingdong. fudge me. Its like Sophie's choice, they're all macarons. Might be better for me to just not vote.

Some people have been saying that Siobhan Benita has been saying some good things. Any opinions on here? Sounds like she hasn't got a chance in hell though,

Yep. Legalise drugs.

Any alternative solution is burying our heads on the sand. In London the only issue the mayor controls is transport and to a lesser degree crime. I'm sure Ken and Paddingdong would do a competent job. Boris is a Tory cliche who offendsy working class roots. I'd support any political party who legalised drugs. Would destroy organised crime in one fell swoop.

About 10 years ago I read a report completely ripping apart the 'legalise drugs' point of view. I cant even remember any of the points it made, I didnt care and just skimmed through it. But I remember the conclusion was it would be the worst possible thing you could imagine.

Everyone seems to mention holland but are not clamping down on it over there, im sure i read they are trying to phase it out and ban pot again.

I think they're trying to stop weeed tourism. as there's no border control in europe these days, people can drive across the border from belgium etc. legitimiately buy loads of weed, then drive home, pretty handy if you live near the border! dutch people will still be able to buy using a 'Weed card' but apparently the dutch will refuse to sign up for weed cards, i fecking love the dutch!

There a great nation, so well educated. First time i went to holland i got off the train at amsterdam train station and a cleaner was picking up litter while talking in perfect english to tourists about monet(the painter might of spelt that wrong). Never meet a dutch man who could not speak english perfectly, most probably better then me.

Im sure i saw on the news that they are cutting down on red light shops as well as they try and take it up market. As you i love the dutch.

definitely less seedy than it was 10 years ago, i think they've closed down quite a few of the windows in the red light district, and there seems to be far less street dealers when i was there at christmas
