That decade is for 1969-1979 (seasons 1969-70 through 1978-79).

If you use 1970-1980 (as purists should), Ipswich and Emirates Marketing Project make the top five instead of Derby and Everton.

I'm using the League Champions from 1970 to1979 for the 70s decade.

Why would using the 1980 Champions make the 70s statistics any more accurate?

As there was no Year 0, the calendar when changed went year 1 BCE to year 1 AD then the decade is 1971-1980 it wouldn't make them any more accurate but it would make them the right 10 years. :)
 
You mean 1st Jan 1971 and 31st Dec 1980. ;)

I checked to see what the answer was and 1970-71 to 1979-80 seemed the most logical for the season choice. The main reason I posted was because I was surprised to see Ipswich and Emirates Marketing Project there.

An advantage of THFC6061's choice is that we top the 1960s, but come second to Everton with my selection.

No, I really don't. "The 70s" is quite clearly all the dates xx/xx/197x

And yes, I do know when a century starts.
