Not necessarily. If the previous post about the scientists is accurate then it might of just been their skills they were after. Or if they had cut a temporary runway through some remote jungle somewhere they might wait until they can get themselves out of said remote jungle before letting on that the plane had, in fact, landed safely on land.
This would make the beginning of such a good Bond film.
It's not accurate.
They didn't invent free energy any more than they invented perpetual motion or cold fusion.
Take a step back from everything we are fed daily to build fear upon fear and ask yourself a truly deep question.

is their currently a device on the market that can can produce power without consuming any fuel of any kind?? These chinese scientists apparently have the device/technology ready to provide power to mobile phones, computers, electric cars, homes etc.....
No, there isn't and there never will be.
A free energy device would break both the first and second laws of thermodynamics. It doesn't exist, it cannot exist and it never will exist.
Free energy machines have been the holy grail of mentals on the Internet for as long as it has existed. In fact, those same mentals probably sent their ramblings to each other on postcards scrawled in their own **** before the Internet made it easier.

I took the free energy thing with a pinch of salt. However if there were people with the 'secrets' to srsly cheap energy on board, or the president's mistress, or a direct descendent of christ on board then there'd be a target of sorts for well, whoever is up to mischief.

Evidence of a plot by Malaysian Islamists to hijack a passenger jet in a 9/11-style attack is being investigated in connection with the disappearance of Flight MH370.
An al-Qaeda supergrass told a court last week that four to five Malaysian men had been planning to take control of a plane, using a bomb hidden in a shoe to blow open the ****pit door.
Security experts said the evidence from a convicted British terrorist was “credible”. The supergrass said that he had met the Malaysian jihadists – one of whom was a pilot – in Afghanistan and given them a shoe bomb to use to take control of an aircraft.
