I asked the other day if anybody thought tickets would go on general sale and unfortunately was told that they didn't think they would...
Because of that I tried Preston for hospitality tickets and amazingly was told that would be fine even though she obviously noticed through my accent that I was a spurs fan...
They were £125 each, so not cheap, but it's our 38th wedding anniversary soon so you've got to treat the wife occasionally.....
Also, the tickets are in the Spurs end and 20 minutes before kick off a steward escorts you there and takes you back to the hospitality longe afterwards... Have another beer, wait for the traffic to die down and get a cab back to the hotel.. Perfect.... What a difference from previous trips to the north west of England, particularly in the late 70s, where the usual welcome was a copper with a truncheon or a scouser with a Stanley knife....
Apologies if this is a bit long winded but for any others who might have been unaware of this option and might want a ticket I hope it helps ..
Should be a good day , especially if we are there to witness Harry breaking Jimmy's record...
