That chart it quite entlightening. Can't really argue about Africa gettting more teams, but Asia and North America are clearly going to send some patsies. A decade or so ago, Africa was not so strong and the case for 9 would be poor. In future the case for Asia might be justified, but perhaps the case for africa would be stronger still. It would be better to expand slowly so additional spots are allocated on merit.
The marathon South American qualifying will become even more pointless. 18 games to select 6 from 10. They should merge into a single Americas confederation, which would still have less members than Europe and Africa.
