Fantasy NFL 2014

Question about another league,

I've made a trade where I'm trading 2 guys for 2 other guys. The trade will go through on saturday. Kirk Cousins (who's in the trade) plays tonight. Can i play him? and what will happen with the other guys? Is it that I, in theory, have an extra player on my bench? (can i play Kirk tonight, and the 2 guys i get in the trade on sunday?)


Anyway, bye week is hitting me hard in our league.

I believe if you play a player who you are trading then the slot he occupies in your team line up is locked for the weeks play. So you will get Cousins points but wont be able to sub in anyone else after he is traded into that slot. But if you have other available players before the other games start ( from your traded ) you will be able to use them if you have available positions.

so yes. In a way you are getting an extra player choice this weekend. And that is why the traded deadline should be before any games are played.
 
Yes for sure. We got it going last year and i think Shirly gave someone the passwords to start it up?

no she made me co-Commish. But that was after it was started up again. I never got any passwords to start it up, So Shelly has to kick it off again and then make me co-commish again for me to be able to run it if she is not around.
 
yeah im sure she will. I sent a reminder also. If I had commisioner rights then I Would just be able to start it up. We can always create a new league if all else fails. But our one has history so would be nice to keep it going.

Create league

There is a drop down menu to copy league settings under League type.

You should go this route Sandman if Shelly doesn't reply by say Monday.

Just remember to name the league the same with the added year on the roman numerals.

I'll let you decide on draft date.. first game 10th
 
Sunday 6th for the Drat I would say. Best day to catch most people with nowt to do. Say 7pm as its going to take 2 hours or so.

What are the early thoughts on last years Full Defence Setting? compared to the previous years where we had a limited defence. Personally I liked it, I learned more about opposition players and gave me a more vested interest in live games. And I think it helps mix it up a little.?? thoughts???

The only negative as far as I'm concerned is how it makes the draft even more time consuming compared to the old settings.
 
I'm all for a shorter draft, although after all the work I put in last season and my teams performance after I'm tempted to just use auto draft this time

I'm not sure the scoring system for individual defenders makes the effort worth it, you can have brilliant secondary players who impact games every week but if opposing QB's don't dare target them they won't get any points (they might have changed the scoring this year and I've not noticed yet though)

I understand that point. But even with the reduced system we have CB's so we have always had that issue. Im willing to go with the majority on this one. I Thought it was interesting. And there are so many defensive players available it gives you a chance to get in some undrafted players that may score you points. Also I hate carrying 3 Wide receivers like we used to have. There are just not enough good receivers to have three.
 
So seems Shelly sent the invites out and we are up to 9 of the 12 already from last season. Time to start thinking about the players we are actually going to draft now ;)

I know a date and time has not been set yet on the board. But its pretty likely to be this coming Sunday evening. So keep it free.
 
i'm in, if only to make the numbers up, doubt i'll be around sunday night so apologies in advance for the additional breaks whilst autodraft sorts me out
