Fabio Paratici - Consultant

Why do we struggle to score goals? Answer:

Dele: has not scored in 30 Premier league games from open play.

Bergwyn: has one goal in 52 matches (all competitions)

Lucas: 21 games since he has scored from open play

Ndombele: 1 goal in his last 27 matches

Lo Celso: 1 goal in 49 league matches

That above shows we are solely reliant on two players for goals, one of whom does not want to be here, yet management decided sorting out our offense is not a priority.

And people wonder why we have only scored 2 goals from open play in the league, go figure.

Fcuk me that is awful.

He owns a huge chunk of the club.
We wanted him to step back on football decision making and he did that.
He is never gonna leave regardless how much you want to moan about him.

You can change the manager.
You can change the director of football.

You might as well be moaning about the club playing in white shirts.

Who said I was moaning? You have to scrutinies all in the chain no?

And yet somehow Gareth Bale was a waste of money.

Blimey, who got out of the wrong side of the bed today? Paratici said that success won't necessarily be instant, but that the new signings are the standard for the future, together with the best of the academy. Mentality first and skill second - you could read that as a veiled dig at lazy players if you like.
I thought it was great that he is saying that he is here for the long term. He's ambitious and I'm 100% sure he wants us back in the CL within a couple of years.

I thought it was a really good interview. He’s not doing it to make every fan convinced he is an instant saviour, he’s doing it to manage expectations and explain the process. People can get on board with it or not, but they can’t say it hasn’t been explained to them.

And I think he is dead on. The point about us needing to be a family. Sticking together. I wouldn’t be surprised if he and Nuno had a word with the squad, or at least the senior players, after the Arsenal game and got them to convey that message. If we don’t have that spirit, we have lost the battle against the oil clubs before it has even begun, we may as well not even bother. We need that, and I am glad he gets it.

Alongside sprinkling the side with some very good young signings and moving out the deadwood, he’s doing a really solid job.

100% this.

I like this quote.
I like this bit

If you are a family, you need the support of everybody. If you want to achieve some results, you need players, coach, Club, fans to be positive. Even in the moments that are more difficult, like when you lose one game, two games, but you have to believe and to be positive. This feeling is transmitted to everybody, first of all, the players. The players will have to think that the players feel what we feel. So, if the fans are a bit negative, or I’m a little worried, the players feel this, and that’s not right. The players have to believe, we have to be positive, we have to think we can achieve
