Lowest paid players as percentage of revenue but highest paid director by same measure?
You call him a director
I call him one of the owners
Maybe he should pay himself a quid and take out £10m in dividends then

and I’ll say it again, thank fudge we have the lowest paid players as we would be in an even worst state of affairs

These are the players that we have signed since he came back to the club as Head Scout.

Sanchez, Gazzaniga, Foyth, Aurier, Llorente, Moura, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Clark, Fernandez, Bergwijn

QED.

And how much did we spend on that motley crew? And Not a decent CF amongst them.

What about the NTwins, Janssen, Sissoko, - and Hojberg, Doherty and Hart?

How many of them were record buys ? How many of them were successes?

NTwins, Janssen, Sissoko joined before Hitchen returned to the club.

In terms of cost and if they were a success:

Sanchez - £40m - Club record signing when he joined. Excellent first season, has not pushed on since. Important member on the first team squad. Unlikely to get our money back if we sold right now. Can we hold that against the scout?

Gazzaniga - Undisclosed - 22 appearances for us since joining and 1 international cap. I've never been a fan but I remember you calling for him to be first choice in the past. We'd probably make a profit if we sold.

Foyth - £11.7m - 16 first team appearances for Spurs and 10 international caps since joining. It hasn't turned out how we would have wanted and doesn't look like he's wanted by the current manager. There appears to be interest in him from other clubs and we might make a marginal profit on him.

Aurier - £22.5m - 58 first team appearances since joining. It looks like he has lost his first place position to Doherty this summer. He's a mixed bag, can be effective going forward but prone to mistakes. Improved under Mourinho. We are unlikely to make a profit on him if we sold.

Llorente - £13.59m - 36 appearances over two seasons. Leaving on a free transfer last summer. A useful squad player but limited how we could play. Played an important part in last season's CL run.

Moura - £25.56m - 74 appearances in the two and a half years he's been with us. A key player in our CL run last season. A key player for Mourinho.

Ndombele - £54m - Club record signing. Disappointing first season. Was in high demand when we signed him.

Lo Celso - £28.8m - 14 appearances last season, cementing his place in the first team after Christmas. Looks like a good signing and we'd make a profit if we were to sell.

Sessegnon - £24.3m - Peripheral figure in his first season. Yet to settle in a position. Still only 20.

Clarke - £9.9m - spent last season on loan and doesn't look likely to be in the squad this season.

Fernandes - loan - 7 appearances since joining in January. I think that he was probably brought in as cover following Sissoko's injury. A crazy £50m sale fee in his loan agreement.

Bergwijn - £27m - 15 appearances since January and would have been more if he hadn't got injured. Made an instant impact.

Irrespective, we pay our players the lowest percentage of our turnover in the whole Premier League. Yet we pay our Chairman the highest percentage of our turnover in the whole Premier League. At least one of those two things doesn't add up.

Whats the point of having a director of football when Levy makes the decisions that benefit him and ENIC? They'll just leave in a couple of years time after an acrimonious fallout and we're back to square one.

So that Levy has time to run the club and try and find a sponsor for the stadium.

It is fine having a DoF who leaves in a couple of years time, as long as we succession plan properly.

Anyone taking the job should be aware of the financial constraints that they are operating in.

And i think someone posted Campos pragmatic approach that I think Levy would have know problem with. In fact it sounded like something Levy might suggest himself.

And imo if trust (competence) over a couple of seasons was built, Levy would happily go £10m above budget in a window if the DofF said 'this is the man'

When has Levy ever gone above budget?

How much money has it cost us so far not having a sponsor for the stadium? What are we now?.... 2 years in? What's that £30 odd million of lost revenue so far?

it's not really lost revenue if you've never had it before, nobody was gonna sponsor the old brickhole were they

I have been hearing that line from some supporters for the last 10 years along with lots of moans about " he will never build the stadium" " he will get the building plans accepted and sell up" etc, etc.

Must have been well over 10 years ago seeing as it is nearly 10 years ago we submitted plans to move to the Olympic Stadium, i dont know anyone who didn't think we'd build a stadium. I'd go as far as saying Levy wasn't the issue, it was local planning and council hold ups.

The fact is, Levy is part of the decision making process for signings into the club. Simple question, how have our signings been under his leadership? (when we actually made signings).

You missed the point i was making, there were a LOT of fans bitching about Levy not staying around to get the stadium built, if you did not hear/know any/many who were saying that then you must have never been on the social media merry go round it was full of it. The signings have been a mixed bag i will give you that but ALL transfers have a risk and ALL clubs make bad ones.

I have worked in football for most of my life and have not often (if at all) seen a club who has not made bad signings, some of them have just not worked out for lots of reasons.
