Its subtle, the defender jumps backwards into Vicario. Its not really enough for a foul, but it was intentional.

What was worse was our play in the 5 mins before the goal. Ange needed to get more fresh legs on for me. Romero VDV both tired. PEH gone. We didn'l look able to play the ball out.

We defended very well.

PEH was actually great until about 75 min when he was spent.

We came out second half and tried to pass the ball faster.

The few openings we created our passing was not good enough.

The team looked rusty.

Very disappointing is the manner of defeat. A loss against City isn’t awful but our performance was so toothless. One shot on target all game. Not good enough.

All down to Foden IMO. The way he can take a ball in busy spaces in the middle of the pitch, turn and then launch an attack is incredible. Quality player.

Disappointing to lose, but pleased with the overall performance - they’re such a good team, and we limited their big chances and had periods of dominance ourselves. Just not enough quality in the final third, but that’s to be expected with Son out and a questionable front three. The future still looks very bright to me under Ange, with a couple more top signings.

fudging awful draw at this stage but I guess you’ll get one of those if you’re gonna go all the way. They were well overdue against us too to be fair.

Not sure he needs to explain anything? We didn't play well enough, they played pretty well and have world class players all over the pitch.

I think l they were as toothless as us to be honest. Without Hojberg they would have done as little as us. It was a tactical stalemate.

Bentancur was poor tonight. Had several chances to play a quick through ball but held on too long.
In saying that, I thought Kulu and Johnson offered nothing.
Johnson is so incredibly frustrating to watch. No anticipation, seemingly no desire, just seems to jog around.

2nd best tonight. Just couldn’t get any foot hold in the game.
