FA Cup 19/20

Domestic success is still winning something even though you are saying it is not.

I'd take Pochettino in Cashmere over Portuguese Pulis.

Think people are just in denial. No way would people be saying trophies are pointless if WE were the ones winning them. Just like when people used to quote the 2 season league table and net spend league table as if that’s better than winning actual trophies

In this case, my argument was that winning the Bundesliga at Bayern isn’t a notable achievement for Guardiola. Had he won it with Hamburg, Leverkusen or similar that would have greater value.

The value of the competition is weighted against resource. My opinion on Pep is that he did well at Barca, average at Bayern, and so far, crap at City where resource has been unlimited.

Top tier domestic leagues have value, as does the European Cup, the Europa league is a way into the European Cup, everything else is trivial.

That argument would make some sense if we actually won the league or the CL but we haven’t. We nearly won both. That’s not the same as winning trophies. Funny how the rest of the big 6 take every competition seriously (except Liverpool this season) except us who are too good for winning the FA cup. Nothing to do with the fact that we are allergic to trophies or just can’t win them. It’s pure denial.

Why have United rested Martial, Pogba today
It's a FA Cup SF, only thing they could win this season or is it all about Top 4

They're still in the EL aren't they?
Ah yes that as well, true

Breakthrough! An Olivier Giroud special. Is there anyone better at a little outside of the boot flick?

David de Gea should be doing better though

The above is a normal read these days

United are throwing this game to focus on top 4. Arsenal will beat this Chelsea side in the final, unless the footballing gods decide to make Giroud the hero against his old club (preferably with David Luiz involved).

100% Arsenal will turn Chelsea over in the Final, I doubt they would do that to United though but as you say are they 100% focused

United suddenly look average when they have to play more frequently
Wouldn’t back against Leicester taking the spoils Sunday now

Don’t agree
United look tired as their playing more frequently without favourable breaks in between
Look at the timing of their great run and it favoured them a lot

They are resting players tonight. They wouldn't do that if they didn't think getting back in the CL was more important.
