He went to comfort Christian’s partner. He was also moving round different groups of players checking all was okay and speaking with the Danish manager. Looked ice cool throughout.

Yes. They should have gone to a wide shot pretty quickly. They kept broadcasting close ups of the tragedy for a long time, and that's not according to the protocol. Someone will lose their job.

Thank goodness Christian is relatively OK. Unfortunately, that is probably the end of his career. Can't imagine that he'll play top flight football again after something like that. Glad he got to win another trophy at least! Top top player. Wish him all the best for the future. Would love to see him play again, but I seriously doubt he will.

I think you’re right.

There’s probably all sorts of insurance liability stuff if played again (even if he is physically capable).

Perhaps it will turn out to not be as serious as it initially appeared. Let’s hope so. He’s still relatively young and should have a few years left at a very good level.

Yes, I suppose there are degrees of seriousness but when your heart has stopped it’s gotta be right up there.
