I think it was idiotic of him to do that last night. I can only imagine your reaction if that had been Aurier.

In the cold, technical light of day it was not smart. In the emotionally charged and often ludicrous environment of a stadium -where as KDD has articulated there appear to be an increasingly large amount of total tossers around- it was not only forgivable IMO but laudable.

Back through this thread I've advocated keeping him for this very reason. I'm glad he's actually gone public with his desire to play CB rather than CM.

I see him as a leader (something we are lacking) and a very capable centre back, which people are saying we need to buy. We could build around him back there (I think he and Davinson/Tang could grow together as he would obviously want some pace alongside him).

Agreed! Still, best duck for cover these days with opinions like this/trying to explain Dele's form, etc, etc. I am becoming increasingly weary of certain breeds of "the modern supporter"
