Only some fans. It's the entitlement I don't get when did we become Chelsea or utd

I think we've jumped straight past them with stuff like this.

I can't think of any fanbase/supporter group that go in so hard so early. Yes we've had a a couple of bad seasons and recent results are mixed, but we are still better off than 90% of the pro clubs in this country.

There is a complete lack of perspective.

The key to me is turnover.
We can see MNC MNU ARS LIV are the big 4, then CHE and TOT are reasonably close behind but of course Champions League money makes a huge difference here.

Then a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge gap down to Saudi Sportswashing Machine/Wet Spam/Villa/Brighton and the rest who have a half or a third of our revenue.
I've cobbled together these rough figures in EURm from Swiss Ramble and Google and YES they will be wrong and will change every year.

Note that in an effort to keep up, Villa are spending ~100% of revenue on wages which is of course untenable unless they always reach the CL and goddamit they probably are this year... but that is what Leeds used to do, until it all went wrong.

850 MNC (Cheats x 115)

750 MNU
700 ARS LIV

600 TOT
550 CHE (Cheats x £5bn)

That's Levy's legacy, he understood the impact of revenue and that's what we spent 20+ years building. Better business in the long run should equal better team, there may be flaws to that approach but there is also merit.

It's also why he was trigger happy, we couldn't afford multiple years out of Europe while trying to make up a gap to the top.

We now have no fudging idea what the strategy is
