Driving Test

Drivers must prepare for the driving theory test with full concentration and get the detailed knowledge of driving test questions and hazard perception test clips and know all theory behind the questions. Practice driving maneuvers such as parallel parking and turning etc. very carefully and pass the test with confidence.

This geezer has just learnt to spell! Dont tell me you've been posting brick up till now just to promote that website?

Haha just noticed how old this thread is, I take it you failed due to no updates

Ha! No no, I did pass. I actually drove a lot poorer then my failed attempt but played it safe. The instructor was so dejected when he had to break the news, the bastard :D

Got my car shortly afterwood (a mini MVP) and been driving for nearly 3 months. Man, I can see why people get road rage! so many idiots on the road that would fail their tests if they had to take them again!!!

Unfortuantely though, I'm a new driver in this cold weather - man I hate the mornings! Need to find my gloves!!!

I only passed 4 years ago at the age of 35, the hazard awareness video is filmed in Bedford (where I live) so was a doddle. I was sweating so much on the actual test I soaked my shirt and the seat. Got one minor for not pulling into a cross-hatch marked section at traffic lights to turn right when on green, I thought cross-hatching meant no stopping in that area so waited at the lights for a space.

My only tip really is make it obvious you are checking your mirrors by moving your head to look rather than just your eyes.

Ditto, must be a Bedfordshire thing.

I passed second time out, my first was a failure of epic proportions which ended in me refusing to drive any further and the instructor & I walking back to the test centre from over a mile away.

Congrats on passing. If your ever on the motorway please dont dawdle in the mddle lane like so many people do... Its an overtaking lane not a "I'm just gonna chill at 60mph coz I feel safer here" lane.

The reason I say this is coz only a few days ago I was behind a RED driving instructor who sat in the middle lane at 62-63mph on the M11 from Stansted to London... My coach is limited to 62mph plus I'm only allowed to use the 2 inside lanes so middle lane hoggers really tinkle me off. The End.

Expand... go on!? :)

EDIT: Oh congrats for passing btw

PS. A guy I once knew at school completely wrote off the driving instructors shiny new car by pulling out in front of a car at a roundabout lol.. never lived it down

Thanks guys,very nice of you.

Two downside I've noticed. 1.I'm now pretty much the family cab and 2.I hate not having a beer when we go out to eat! grrr... :D

Yes but the freedom to just jump in the car and go pretty much anywhere does eventually outweigh these two issues. Both of which I fully understand lol. Tryin to get the missus to do her driving but she aint interested... Would mean we could move outta this dump of a town so gonna keep trying

Oh totally understand. We feel human now! We used our friendly cab guy so much - he's now part of the family and having Xmas dinner with us :D That said, lovely guy and really helped me go car hunting (he must have been sick of the sight of us! :D)

Missus can drive but not much time for theory revision - a license for her though may mean me not driving to work! grr...

Oh and I've learnt that it's better to have a soft drink than alcohol free lager... oh dear, really?

Errrrrr, no pal. Not all Beds boys are sweaty betties, though perhaps I moved away before the profuse sweat gland indoctrination occurs.

Passed mine on the same day as my sister, three hours later. We both got cancellations, I was 17 and didn't have a car, she was 18 and had one. I remember feeling so elated, only for her to say she wouldn't let me have the car for a drive for 2 days as she was going back to Bedford (we had moved to Worcester by then) and my mum had a Fiat 126 which I was embarresed to be seen in.

A teen? the only thing I remember about being a young teen was that you had to source your own porn (some douche dumping his porn mags in the communal bins or the Littlewoods catalogues) none of this interweb brick :D The research that made us men! :D

I've started to play my music a little louder but it's a little too cool for the kids of today so I don't share :D

ah! hope it went well mate. The HP is feared too much - don't be too conservative on the clicks and don't be trigger happy.

Turns out it was booked for yesterday, must have put in in my diary wrong and was figuring my plans out from there. turn up am I'm not on the list. Get told in front of everyone that it was yesterday, have to walk away like a bit of a dingdonghead haha. Those places seem like sexual health clinics but with a worse atmosphere..

Not the best use of 30 quid but it's not the end of the world, I'll rebook after the new year I guess!
