If my wife caused me as much grief as Spurs do I would have filed for a divorce 10 years ago. Probably all of us on this forum are more likely to split with our partners than stop supporting Spurs. More likely to meet someone else than support another team.

Do you know of a anyone that’s actually just stopped being a fan of spurs or any other club? And even changes teams?

You can change your car, you can sell your house, you can quit your job, you can divorce your wife…you can even disown your kids.

But if you’re any sort of person, you cannot change your football team or stop supporting them.

It’s the only thing in life that’s for life.
 
I supported Blackburn for about 2 weeks when I was 7 or 8 and Shearer played for them. Before they won the league.

I sort of checked out from football around 2001-2004 when we were crap and Arsenal were winning everything. I started following American sports as an outlet. Honestly im flirting with the idea of putting football on the back burner and spending time with my 4 month old son and watch tennis, NBA and NFL instead of football.
 
It should be your blessing and your curse. One team .. forever.. your interest may wax and wane , but you will always look for the results if it really got you at some point ..

Been mad for us since 87 st for 25 + years I hate it and love it in equal measure.. it's tough but part of me ..my son goes with me now and I'm not sure I'd still be there without him and what we share but I'd still be watching.

Friends have come and gone from the ground and game but only one mate I know switched teams from spurs to Chelsea early 2000s and he gets brick every time I see him .. even though it was in hindsight a decent choice for sucess 🙈
 
I have worked in and watched football for most of my life and enjoyed doing so. However apart from Spurs being on my mind all the time i find the game overall does not mean that much to me anymore. I love my team and always will but for the rest of it i have lost any real love for it.

I care little for the England team and watch far less games then i used to. As for all the so called experts that are on the TV stations i usually turn the sound down.
