If you want big money for a player these days, unless they are elite, you need to sell in the Prem.

No issue for me going in to a season with no Europe with Porro as 1st choice and Gray, Byfield & Kyermaten as backups.

We'll be screwed, as none of them can overlap or would particularly compliment Kudus or Kulu, nor have the mobility needed for that role

If Spence is sold, we would 100% replace him. In the round of interviews that came out last week, RDZ specifically said in one of them that Gray hates playing RB. Byfield is a CB and has barely played for the first team, and as good as Kyermaten has been in pre season, he is a No. 8, playing well in pre season against MK Dons, Auckland, and Sydney, and the last few minutes against Chelsea, who by that point had their kids on, and a competitive match, are two completely different worlds.

Both Porro and Spence weren’t available, he’s basically 3rd choice RB in a crisis.

Because as we know he was needed on the left to cover Udogie’s injuries. We had 3 FBs, luckily Spence is more than capable of covering both sides, the perfect squad player hence why he made the England squad as well. He was only really needed on the left though as Porro is fitter than Udogie.

Gray's a ball playing DM, Byfield is CB and tge other is a schoolboy who looked ok in a half pace fitness run out against some amateurs. None are RB options for next season. Danso would id imagine start ahead of any of them

The club needs to generate funds to add additional attacking players mainly from an SCR perspective. It seems like the decision has been made to sell Spence rather than sell Bergvall. He can Bentancur are the backups at CM. Gray is the backup at RB for this season and then you move him in to CM over Bentancur in 27/28.

Id rather do that than sell Spence. Ideally you sell Bentancur but his transfer value will be fairly low.

I still disagree. If Gray committed to playing RB he would be starting for England in the 2028 Euros.

I tend to agree..If we need income then we have to roll with the priorities...so Spence money helps forward line improvements. We are on a game starved season so RB can roll with what we have and that rises up the priority list next summer or in Jan if things are going well and we need all bases covered to shoot for the stars.
