Dean Richards
The abuse and drugs was from his time in England. He said little about Africa other than he was sent to his dad to be taught discipline for 6 months. He really only said that he didn't enjoy it as the culture was very different.
If his family in Nigeria is/was wealthy, that certainly didn't seem to translate to his early life in England.
None of us are in a position to challenge what he's saying because none of us know him.
Be curious, not judgemental.
Thanks for the clarity. Asking questions is a sign of curiousity. I don't recall posting that we should do anything to him in this thread.
I can share the experience of discipline. Mine was a 3 year stint in a naval school in Nigeria in my early teens. I had both good and bad times there. I made some good friends. Speaking of which I don't think I have seen Dele with Nigerian friends hmmm. Then again I dont keep an eye on him.
I am shocked to hear about the drugs. I am not so shocked on the abuse. The amount of sexual abuse meted out to both male and female young'uns especially males is yet to be properly exposed. It occurs far too much around the world. I have tried to protect my kids and by GHod's grace, so far they have been spared this.
His history may also explain his approach to the football games i.e., the mentality and aggression.
I belong to a platform where Dele's father used to post. I know a few will reach out to him if required to confirm this story. There are people who know the family and I think they are fairly popular.
