Players aren't allowed to do anything outside of the football pitch and training complex
Which is why they end up gambling

I think it’s because of his history of “delivering” his profile is high. It’s like United Pogbas problemThe truth is that if it doesn't impact on his training and commitment to the club, it doesn't do any harm.
Everyone is focusing on Dele at the moment because his form has dipped, some of that may be because of commitment but form is a complex thing and there is rarely one cause.
The slight caveat to all that is he did have that mini revival, surge of form when Jose arrived...then downhill since? If you go back to the period that the post i quoted is from and read the thread from around that time it is full of praise for his form and all round progression - it wasn't long after that point that the teams form across the board fell off a cliff and it's only recently there has been much semblence of us playing ourselves back in to it, so i think Alli was not alone in seeing his form drop off but unlike the rest of the team he hasn't had the opportunity to play himself back in to it the last few months.
Agree...I was just about to add that.I think it’s because of his history of “delivering” his profile is high. It’s like United Pogbas problem
How do you accommodate a player of a certain calibre
But clubs and teams don’t do that anymore, the players are very much now expected to fit systems and styles and adapt to their coaches
I doubt that it will have any impact either way.
The problem Dele has is Jose. Jose is 100% 'for the team' , and even if the outside things Dele does do not have a literal impact, it's enough for Jose even if he just perceives they are. I'd suggest the game time for Moura and Lamela testifies to this.He just doesnt need any more distractions. He needs to follow Kane's example - he's a model pro. Even if he could get halfway towards Kane's dedication it would be a big improvement
I'd rather our players spent their time on gaming nonsense than playing for England. He just doesnt need any more distractions. He needs to follow Kane's example - he's a model pro. Even if he could get halfway towards Kane's dedication it would be a big improvement

Exactly what he needs when his form is at an all-time low and career is at a cross-roads - yet another distraction

You would like to think/hope/believe that his first priority would be 400% on working to get back into the team. Not signing another contract in another money making move.
I guess the point is that kane is possibly in the form of his life and Dele has not made several premier league squads. So even if it doesn’t make a deleterious difference it can be accused of being a distraction. Why should it be a distraction? Is he doing any more than getting paid for a photoshoot and putting his name to something? Kane does that too, so why shouldn't Dele?
He was there though so he was the spare man maybe some fans could give him a break whilst he sorts his game outI hope he was watching that thinking he wanted to be on the pitch enjoying beating city. Probably playing abacus games on his phone. Gaming I think the kids call it.
