Of course. I feel like it’s easier to enjoy a spectacle if you are not emotionally invested in it.Its good we all are not same. My favourite teams to watch in recent times are the likes of Seville, Wolves and funnily Brighton and more worryingly Leicester.
So in a boxing match, an open tear up with lots of attacking endeavour with open defence can be great.
If it was someone you loved you would like them to win as one sidedly as possible.
This may mean winning on points without taking unnecessary risks by over committing.
I guess what I am saying is the entertainment side of the game is for the neutral, especially as so many of us are irrationally emotionally invested in the outcome. Of course you can be pacified by a defeat if you have been the better side, on the proviso that continued performances showdown merit more wins in the future, but it’s still a defeat and if it happens regularly you have to question the definition of the better side if it’s one that isn’t actually winning the game.
ps don’t let @Bedfordspurs know you like Leicester I think Brenton has done something to upset him!
