Dejan Kulusevski

We've seen how cautious the medical team/RDZ are being with returning players. For a player that's been out for about a decade I think it's fanciful to see him getting real minutes for quite some time....

And even if he gets minutes, to expect him to be the same player or the player that many are wishing for him to be is fanciful imo. It will take him a long time. I imagine the mental load will be hard enough; the idea that any extra exertion, going into a 50/50 or anything like that could potentially lead to another injury is enough to make him play within himself for a while.

I think there is a simple equation here actually. The more of these players that we have available to form the 20 man match day squad the better it is for the returning players.

Take the last game. We started with Udogie, Tel, Savio, Marmoush and Gallagher. We finished with Robbo, Mudryk, Kudus, Solanke and Fernandez. Out of those 10 players it's probably fair to say that Robbo, Tel and Gallagher were the ones that were injury free and 100% match fit. So in the match situation, none of them were put into the red zone. They shared the minutes and they are all good players.

Now when you add back Kulu and Madds to the equation, the options to integrate them only add value to the overall picture. Eventually we have way more than 3 out of 12 players injury free and match fit.

It will be interesting to see how many of our attacking players ever complete 90 mins.
