I agree. A player that wants to stay doesn't make these noises, only players that want a move do that.

If he wants to go up north, then it's Utd because City have already spent £756billion on fullbacks. If it's Utd, then we will surely get Shaw in exchange, whilst ripping them off for a huge amount of cash and having Davies here to continue his good work.

If he wants to go, then ok -- Levy, do your thing.

I would suggest that such business should be done privately, not in The Sun. I would also suggest this is a carefully calibrated event. There js absolutely design to pressure Poch. I think the only possible route out he has is if Shaw and cash become a reality; Poch still loves Shaw I believe...

I never believe that up north thing, why would anyone?

Earning more money and/or playing for a club like United is enough, you don't need to lay it on thick, cash or cache will do

@the dza swaps rarely happen, I'd be surprised if Shaw is part of anything

but if he's been asking for a raise for 12 months and got nowhere...

there's probably depth here none of us are privy too

I've been in a situation where I felt underpaid, you can only do so much before your only option is to leave, footballers can't just apply for another job and hand their notice in
 
Let's not overreact.

"I'm not paid what I'm worth" - no brainer
"Spurs must buy stars" - Yep, pretty much what we've all been saying
"I'd discuss bid with boss" - Of course, I'd expect nothing less from an ambitious young man
"I will play in the north" - I'm sure he misses it and would like to be closer to his family again one day

True, but it would fit us so well. Shaw must think Mourinho is a qunt for one thing, he has played his best football under Poch, 22 and his stock is low because of injuries and loss of form. Also, I don't think Shaw would want to stay and be the backup to Rose, but who knows with footballers nowadays.

Swaps are rare, but they rarely fit this well. Swap plus a bundle of cash would be us making the best of a sh1tty situation imo.
