Cristian Romero

People have expressed their opinions on Romero.
I am now going to express mine.
We will miss him.
And anyone who finds any 'joy' or 'happiness' from his injury/tears today needs to take a long look at themselves. Isn't to your taste? I get that. But some of the other stuff? Nah. Not having it.
Joy or Happiness aren't quite the correct adjectives, but I think we have a better chance of surviving with Danso than Romero - if that happens, that'll bring joy for that outcome.
No joy etc for anyone getting injured though - no matter who they are.

Romero is a liability. But every manager plays him? I dont get it. I prefer to see Danso playing. But they are top coaches and I am just a fan. So they mus see something I dont.

I was sure he was going to get sent off yesterday. And he is our so called Captain. also he is constantly flirting with other clubs. Doesnt exactly add up to what we want to see does it.

Danso is a more than capable replacement. The issue is if another CB gets injured. If that happens, we are fudged, it'd be a choice between Dragusin or playing Gray out of position again.

There’s six games and we’re never going to have a 4th or 5th choice centre back be anywhere near as good as 1-3. I’ve got more than enough confidence in Danso and don’t think Dragusin is half as bad as is being made out. He’s an international who played with an 18 year old midfielder as his centre back partner for most of a season in a highly injured team, and then returned from a year out to play in an extremely bad team.

Some people have expressed both at the thought of him being unavailable. So yup, in some cases they quite pathetically are.

If we survive it won't be because Romero wasn't playing.

I can't think of a CB that's a worse fit for De Zerbis football than Dragusin. He has zero ability on the ball, often hitting simple passes out of play.

My issue with Romero is that I’ve seen very little positive leadership from him on the field. Additionally, His recklessness has returned with a vengeance this season (eg yesterday’s yellow) and he has spent a large portion of the season suspended. I take no joy out of seeing him cry or get injured. However, do I think he was crying for Tottenham and his abject failure to inspire anyone around him? No, I don’t. I think he cried purely for himself. And I personally don’t care about the WC; I care about Spurs. He’s our fudging captain so he should care about Spurs, too. I haven’t seen it.

Yesterday’s yellow probably wasn’t even a foul was it?

I was so confused after the collision, I thought he was knocked out and said to my son he'll be out with concussion for weeks now. Then saw the replay and when there was no head contact I thought 'wtf'?
