Cristian Romero

Do not disagree at all with that. Our CM is wide open and is in most games and we are desperate for a player in there who can see danger before it happens. Our defense especially Romero gets a lot of stick from some fans but a lot of their problems are bought on by having no strength in the centre of our M/F. imo
CM would need to be on the goal line to help him when he decides he ain’t marking anyone
The goals we concede yesterday were all on the CBS and the keeper

Villa dont play Torres, they play Tyrone Mings (yes hes better than Romero) and Disasi (better than Romero).

Ask Saudi Sportswashing Machine fans who theyd prefer, Burn or Romero.

Ask Gooners who theyd prefer Saliba and Gabriel or our two?

Same goes for Liverpool.

And yes, I think Milenkovic is better and that other Brazilian forest have.

this is the problem with Spurs fans, they actually think the top 4 care about us, or want our players. Mate none of them do. Stop being rose tinted, theres a reason we are 16th, Ange and our defense is crap.

Last night we actually looked more solid with Davies and Danso on. Fact.

I'd prefer to ask their managers mate. I'd put a bet that Howe would take Romero, as would Emery (the defense you think is better as I mentioned has shipped 47 in 33), as would Nuno.

The Scum unfortunately probably have the best CB pairing in the league and Pool has VVD +1 (he makes anyone look better, kind of how King did).

Deki, VDV, Romero, Porro, Udogie (rumour is City is enquiring now), all would be in a consideration for top teams, and I'd argue Arsenal would have looked a lot better this season with Solanke than whatever pretender they put up front.

Fact is our system makes our parts less than the sum, Villa, Forest, Saudi Sportswashing Machine (out of your list), Brighton, Bournemouth, current version of Wolves are the exact opposite, the system makes the players look better. To highlight it, you put Burn and Schar in our backline and they would look like Dier and Sanchez, every flaw they have would be exposed.

Shame he hasn’t shown anything like a winning mentality here

Well I don't think that's accurate.

Our issues started after a dozen or so games, and Romero has missed a lot of games through injury, in fact he has started more games than Micky.

I am not saying he cannot improve but I would suggest that we will miss him more than not if he gets a transfer.

If he does go the problem we have is attracting a CB as good, if not better to a team that will likely lose twenty Premier League games, with no European football and with likely a new manager.

Not going to be easy boots to fill.

A training cone just placed on the edge of the box would intercept more balls and not get carded.

When has he shown it in the games before has played? Can you give me an example
We attracted him easy enough
The guy and some qualities but some huge failings
He watches the ball and never the man
He gets hurt and then looks for revenge rather than managing the issue
He doesn’t lead his defence
He is a typical player that his own fans rate and fans of other clubs don’t

TBF a training cone wouldn’t go wandering and would probably mark its man
Yesterday in the first half when he thought he could play CF i was kinda in shock … not that he did it but more that he jogged back like he had brick himself
He is a quality player sometimes but we are frequently seeing the stupid player
People say we need more DM cover but looks at the goals we’re conceding and it’s the defenders failing on really really basic stuff and not under pressure

Absolutely this. Every fan I've spoken to from pool, arsenal and utd have said that he's brick and they wouldn't have him. Even an Everton mate or mine has said he's crap and a knob. I don't know any city fans but that's obvious. He isn't getting in there.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine have just won a cup and fighting for Cl.places, why would they trade any of their players for ours, especially him.

My palace fans at work wouldn't swap Gueye and Lacroix for him.

He's immensely overrated, but hey just my opinion and other fans

People need to realise, we are pretty much irrelevant and a laughing stock of the footballing world, not just premier league. Why would people cherry pick brick players from a brick team and swap them for teams that are 10 places higher.

They wouldn’t
Their defends defend first
Our fans blame the tactics but should maybe go and watch what he did vs Brazil
Same thing
His skill set would suit a CM midfielder
I’ll also add that VDV has huge glaring issues too. He can’t head a ball. He is really tall and doesn’t seem to be able to jump. Weird
Add in that he too has poor position and awareness and it’s a bad mix that looks good in the odd game

Dont get me started on VDV. As I mentioned earlier as soon as they both went off we looked better.

The Romero thing for us reminds of Martinez at Villa. They think he is amazing but he ain’t. You will never convince many of their fans he isn’t the best keeper around but he wouldn’t get into their rival teams

Look it's all opinions, but I've had rows with my spurs mates early on before Ange and I said Romero was suspect. Got shot down. Now I couldn't care if we sold him, in fact I want him sold and think there are so many better players that we could use, it's not a loss if he goes. Hes injured half the time anyway.

Let's move on, if people like him fine, but there's life without him and we move on. No loss for me. Think that's obvious.

Played into the ground? How?
He has been fit to play for us just over 55% of the games.

Because he has been overplayed so suffers injuries snd should never have started v Chelsea. Even if people will say it was a different injury, if you have a weakness then can get another injury elsewhere due to that area then doing too much work etc

Whenever he’s been fit up until recently he’s played every match and not given true rest. The injuries are frustrating but could have been avoided had we had better options to rotate with.

Can’t agree
He misses more game than he plays for us
The injury before the Chelsea one came because he was reckless

I think he's made it pretty clear on a new contract.

He like so many other quality Spurs players over the years want's to be a winner. He understands that at Spurs he isn't going to do that, and in his circumstances no one should blame him.
He has to take his share of the blame that he won't be a winner here. He can be class, like he was against Frankfurt and less than a week later put in a stinker against Forest. A proper top quality player does it game in game out. Romero only turns up when he feels like it.

Had a stinker vs wolves too
Weird and I put it all down to concentration and will
We have a LOT of players just bumbling though and only concerned with the euro now
They get a big bonus for CL qualification
I doubt they gag anything for finishing bottom half
