Saw a stat on twitter this morning, so pinch of salt, but have NZ really only had 52 COVID deaths?
Amazing if so.
1/14th of the population of the UK, with the same landmass though, so its not completely comparable. Although obviously the closed border policy was the thing that did it.
It will be interesting to see what happens there when they open borders again - nowhere else in the world has such little exposure immunity.

Most people are wildly underestimating how both large and rhetorically violent this anti-vaccine movement is. They are a gigantic, one-issue political movement that will eventually coalesce behind one candidate and make extreme demands before 2024.
Hm, because mandatory vaccines, id passports, two tier society etc aren't extremes.
They blew up a school in cyprus.
I'm not defending or judging anyone, just pointing out that the extremes are on both sides.
If you believe their numbers china. 3 deaths per million compared to 10 in nz. The chinese vaccinations are not meant to be as good and theyhave an aging population due to the 1 child rule.
Much better diet however, seeing as obesity is the biggest risk factor (the same/even more than age).
Well there is no going back nowNot many countries worldwide registering more daily covid deaths than the UK. Our numbers remain stubbornly high.
