I feel like the vaccines aren't at all what they're made out to be.
90% of people have had one dose
83% have had two doses
62% have had a booster
Covid is still at the highest rate it has ever been and more deaths than ever.
Maybe you could argue that's just because of Omicron. Either way the cases, deaths and hospitalisations were at a pretty conistent level throughout this entire time anyway.
If we ever get to the point where 100% have vaccinated, we'll still be no better off then we were before. Especially once more variants emerge.
Or imagine the alternative for reducing spread - perpetual lockdownImagine the numbers without the vaccines. That’s why they work.
We've got brakes on cars, and there are still deaths on the road!I feel like the vaccines aren't at all what they're made out to be.

Hope all those who blame the unvaxxed for the conitnued pandemic can now realise that it's made no difference and never will.

The main thing i don't like about that graphic, is deaths looks horrendous.
But if you look at them over time and by specimen date, it gives more context.View attachment 13497
Deaths in January are always odd, some are carried over from the end of December and the Christmas period because of the bank holidays.

That’ll be a comfort to the families.
Agree. Also incidental deaths are another thing aswell.
That must be pretty big. If the criteria is having had Covid in the previous month. And about 1/4 of the population have had Covid in the last month. That's a lot of routine/unrelated deaths that would be counted in with the Covid stats.

Deaths have always been a dodgy one. Opens up a lot of conspiracy.
Excess deaths are more a measure. But also have to be spread out over the year.
We won't know the true cost of the pandemic for a while.
Deaths are a total red herring.
Not just for covid but in general.
Not at all. I will always see the unvaccinated as selfish and socially reckless. The only possible explanation for that approach is that they might achieve some slither of advantage in life by spreading death and disease to those less robust than themselves.
