Contingency planning : If Ange is sacked, who should replace him?

Spurs v Wolves was interesting, two teams with almost identical styles.

Yet wolves looked fresher and tougher because they only started pressing in the midfield while we start with their keeper .

BOTH succumbed to injuries due to the very very harsh demands physically and both were exhausted after 60 mins. Somehow Wolves had fresher and more effective subs despite a lower transfer budget.

We've played 3 full matches more than them this month alone.

Some managers get a bounce and then build on it. Some managers show some flexibility in their approach. Some managers show tactical awareness. Some managers adapt the game they play to take account of an opponent’s strengths.

Of course you are right and its the same with fans, some bitch at certain players, managers, owners etc and some never really sound happy. ;)

While others wade in with occasional gnomic comments, which they appear to feel makes them intellectually above some of the other “idiots” who can’t see things as clearly as them - and are seemingly happy to accept the status quo, even if the status quo is pretty s hit over an extended period. ;)

And some just like to bitch and think they can do a better job. Are you a teacher trying to show of with different words. ;)

Because they are playing fewer games than we are so have fewer injuries and less fatigue than us overall.

Also, I'm not convinced that Wolves only started to press in the midfield whereas we started with their keeper. Both teams pressed in different situations, sometimes all the way to the keeper but not always.

I think we are all agreed that Ange is a complete footballing macaron, and totally out of his depth. With regards to his replacement, surely that's down to the club and the people who get paid a fortune. There are probably several very good managers throughout Europe we know little about. I would like to think Levy is presently working it.

...the same people who got 'the macaron' and changed our club to suit his style?

So serious question

- Who do you think in the squad is specific to Ange's style?
- That wouldn't work in any other 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 setup that uses wingers?

To me the only player that lacks flexibility in the entire team (actually think we don't have enough specialists) is Johnson

It's a really good question. Let me take some time to answer it.

Romero and VDV for a start
In a side that concedes posseison you need players who can win headers. Both are average (Romero) to poor (VDV) in the air
Kulu as CM may be another
And Solanke too. He is a pressing machine and again, in a team with a different focus he would be left on his own
We don’t really have wingers currently. We have a wide forward in Johnson which is also how I’d pitch Sonny but I think he is completely dead now
I think Porro would struggle in a normal defence too
