Very sad. Presumably the medical people will tell him it’s time to retire and hopefully he will if that’s the case.

Tough though. Having something he loves taken away from him forever in this way is a bit cruel. That said, obviously, there’s a lot more to life.
He is 34...... So the boys done good.

He won't be missing much on the pitch, if he has to close the book on this chapter

It’s amazing what modern medicine can do, I know all too well. Hopefully he’s fine now?

It is an amazing story. He got the transplant during covid! He is now doing super well. One time, long before the transplant, his heart rate would not drop below 165 - he was not working out or anything. I told him I would drive him to emergency if he didn't call ambulance. He said he'd call. 20 mins later, when I was home, I called and he had not called them yet. I bellowed at him and told one of his teenage sons to call amublance immediately. They pulled up right as he had an 'episode' and said it was lucky they were there. After that he checked his ego and did all the hard work. He is a hero of mine. I don't run from my stuff either, proactive is the way!
Hope all continues to be well for you mate❤️
