He tries to be so clever all the time, but only manages to completely fudge it up. Today he went with a back 3, with Walker and Cancelo as wing backs. All he achieved with that was that those two received the ball facing the wrong way, and they could only pass it backwards, as none of them have the technical ability to go past the defender when they face the wrong way.
Had he played their normal 433, they'd win

How can Guardiola keep doing this? Almost deliberately not going with the obvious way of playing, that usually brings high chances of success.
