Champions League 2019/20

Only problem with this scenario is that the CL big guns surely will have objections about the matchday and TV rights income they'll miss due to fewer games...

Or if they want to guarantee 6 games for income, have more groups but into the group winner goes though, maybe a couple of best second paces to reduce compete dead rubbers?

That's one of the pluses. Normally there would be no chance the self-appointed elite clubs would let this through, but given the extraordinary circumstances it might be possible. The Juve president will probably ask for a bye to the quarterfinals and a special payment, but most clubs have some eye for their reputation and might be less assertive.
