If you have a surround sound setup, all the vocal comes through the centre front speaker.

If you unplug it or turn it off on the amp then you just have crowd noise.

I don't have any surround sound, but I am now tempted to get it for just that reason. Cheers for the info! Any cheap wireless systems about? I'd probably only turn it on to turn football commentary off!
