Champions League 2016/17

Very true but so will they

We don't let teams get many chances at all and that may frustrate them

John Stones will learn a lot in this game for watching Toby
No we don't give up many chances but Aguero still scares the brick out of me. He doesn't need many. Silva and Sterling are both in good form too. Anyway this is the wrong thread I guess for City talk.

Yep on all counts but we kept him quiet last season - even though he IMO the best striker in the world

Radio 5 said that City would break Spurs record from 1961 of games won (11? 12?) if they won so I was pleased that they drew...and had a feeling that Celtic would get a draw...

Yep. The record for an English club to start a season is 11 wins (that's us). City were on 10, so if they won they would have leveled, with a chance to break it against us on Sunday. So well done Celtic!

BTW our streak of 11 games were all in the league.

Thing is, they get 2 shots at breaking it, because right now they are still on course to match it with just league wins on the bounce, and its probably up to us to stop them matching it
League match 7 Tottenham (a)
8 Everton (h)
9 Southampton (h)
10 WBA (a)
11 Middlesbrough (h)
12 Palace (a)

If we dont take at least a point off them Sunday, I can see them beating our record

Mostly we need to take our chances IMO. We have to be more clinical in front of goal than we have been.

Without a doubt, we create so many chances but our finishing needs to improve as we are just not clinical enough.

Driving home tonight, listening to the news and they said if Leciester win tonight they have for the Group Stages.

Surely that's wrong. Even if Porto didnt win their match tonight they could win their final 3 and finish on 10, while Copenhagen could beat Leciester and Brugge and finish on 10pts

Hats off to Leicester. Walking to the Last 16

For those, me included, who thought they would ruin our Uefa coefficient, we have been proved wrong. Only team with 3 from 3 and the only English team left with a 100% record
