Obviously it's early days but how many more **** seasons in CL for English teams before we drop down to just three qualifying places?
I'm guessing those who don't consider it worthwhile watching us in EL at that point will throw toys out of the pram completely and it just pack it in altogether

It really depends on how we as a nation perform relative to Italy over the coming two seasons. It looks bleak based on the results of last season and this week.
This season Italy gained roughly 6.8 coefficient points on us as a result of the 10/11 season being wiped from the records. This means we are currently approximately 3.0 coefficient points ahead of Italy. Therefore, if our coefficient score equals Italy's this season, we keep our 4th CL spot next season.
If last season's coefficients were to be replicated exactly this year however, they would gain a further 5.4 coefficient points on us, which would be enough to leave us with a deficit of 2.4 points and 3 places next season.
Next season, we lose a further 4.9 coefficient points on them by virtue of the 11/12 points being wiped. That means, even if we match Italy's coefficient score both this season and next season, they will be approximately 1.9 points better off than us and we will lose our fourth spot in the 17/18 season.
Essentially, if we want to keep our fourth CL spot for both of the coming two seasons, we must outscore Italy by 2.0 coefficient points between 2015-2017.

(Please correct me if I'm wrong).
one would think City could do a lot better than Berahino and Bony! This is what don't get with City or Man U, with their resources the end up with average.

oh go on then, lets give them Harry
tbh, its very hard even for them to buy the worlds best like Ronaldo, Messi, the next best in Benzema, Rodriguez, Bale, Neymar, Suarez, Muller, Lewandowski. These players dont want to leave their respective clubs and who can blame them......after them, the pool of talent capable of really making a difference is not so impressive and thats why City, Chelski, Arsanal and United are finding it harder and harder to actually improve and catch up with Barca, Real and Bayern
So far this season England has gained one more point than Italy.

I agree but I was more looking for the Carlos Bacca's, Álvaro Morata's of this world. These tend to end up at the like of Juve or wherever. I would have thought City could blow them out of the water in transfers. They have been stuck in an Aguero or nothing scenario for a couple of windows. Bony is not poor but he can't hack it at City and he is not alone there. Yaya out Pogba in would be a no brainer as would Jese from Real, both would cost big money but that's not a problem. Navas needs upgrading also. I just do not understand their lack of quality in some areas. If only we had their problems.
they end up at the likes of Juve, Ac Milan etc and are given regular playing time, meaning they are able to find some form and rhythm. Bony is a very good striker, as good as them, he proved at Swansea he can more than cope with the PL. But he was playing regularly, he was the main man there. He goes to City, probably is on over 100k a week, isnt a first choice, and all of a sudden surprise surprise he no longer looks the same player. The motivation isnt there. Dzeko never had the same impact there as he had at Wolfsburg where he was a goalscoring monster. Jovetic was one of the most highly rated young forwards in world football at Fiorentina but moves to City for and on big money and he was never the same player. Im sure if Bacca or Morata moved to City as Aguero's stand in they too would not look or be as effective as they are now. The oodles of cash and lack of playing time changes everything imo
Pogba? Yeah City would love him but right now he doesnt want to leave Juve and in Yaya i think they still have a tremendous player...again if Pogba goes there he has to make sure he will be first choice, so its right he waits until Yaya is finished there
at the moment they are playing Navas but pretty soon i think we will see Sterling, Silva and De Bruyne in behind the striker, and that atacking trio isnt lacking quality thats for sure
