Probably not in his lifetime, but he's moving us in the right direction.
It would be hollow doing it through doping though.
The gratification would be much so much more if we did it with integrity and through organic growth. The Athletico or Dortmund, even the Arsenal, route.
Tbh, the state of our fanbase, I don't think we deserve to be contenders. The idiot entitlement lot at home league games who boo Townsend don't ever deserve to see us do well. Until the 1882/UEFA and away games/King testimonial mentality permeates through, we won't progress as a club.

Eales didn't replace Barber. Eales replaced John Alexander. We took Eales from West Brom when Alexander got poached by United.
The role is mainly a legal one - to do with contracts and governance etc. Eales is a barrister by training.

There's quite a difference between not supporting managers who lacked integrity and were damaging the club, and not supporting a kid who has been at the club since he was 8, whose heart bursts with pride every time he steps onto the pitch.
Not if we have to become them to beat them. We hate Chelsea because of what they are, not who they are. I'd despair if we became what they are too.

I'm with GB on this too. Anything that Chelsea or City do is totally meaningless to me. I see them as blank spots in the table really. Yeah it's great when something bad happens to them but I'm pretty apathetic about their activities really.
Supporting a football team is far more than just winning, for me anyway. If winning was all that mattered I would just check the scores. The destination is important but not as much as the journey for me. The ups and downs, the pain and joy, the transfer market , the progress of the club on and off the pitch, even this stupid forum. Everything plays into the story that is Spurs for me. Don't skip to the end of the book. That's what the financially doped clubs have done and it makes a mockery of the game.

We have a billionaire owner but he's just not even remotely interested in THFC as a fan . If Lewis had half the love for Spurs like some of you guys here, I'm pretty sure we would've seen a little more success on the pitch .
I too don't want to be another Chelsea or Emirates Marketing Project, but I do want to see Spurs win the premeirship title. I want to see my club hold on to it's best players who have shown their quality for a little longer than a season or two!
And when we do have that quality like we did in Modric and Bale , we have a billionaire owner fan who is willing to seize that moment, with a couple of top quality additions and go try an win the top prizes rather than count the pound signs on our star player's transfers to Real ****ing Madrid.
