Some brick films in that list IMO.Just skimming through my IMDB ratings that I would consider above average:
Predator
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Batman
Escape From New York
The Thing
Big Trouble in Little China
Red Dawn
Willow
Driving Miss Daisy
The Abyss
Lethal Weapon I and II
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Down
The Evil Dead
Evil Dead II
The Running Man
Southern Comfort
They Live
Star Trek II The Wrath Of Khan
Return of the Jedi
Commando
Cocoon
Young Guns
Kickboxer
The Fly
Mad Max II
Bad Taste
Road House
National Lampoon's Vacation, European Vacation and Christmas Vacation
Romancing the Stone
Spaceballs
Honey I Shrunk the Kids
Major League
Top Secret
Howard The Duck
Condorman
The Cannonball Run
Some are great movies, some are classic 80s movies and some I just really enjoyed at the time of watching (but probably wouldn't rate them all as highly if watched for the first time now).

Some were brick back then too but we had nothing else to watch. Anyway, this is the 'best' film thread right? They may be brick now, but they were great fun in the 80s.

Are we going to limit ourselves to one film from a franchise or allow multiples?
Raiders is obviously better than Temple of Doom but Alien Vs Aliens always splits people.
Looking through the list, 80s films were a lot better than the films now.
Most recent movies are either remakes, continuation of franchises or just tributes to 80s movies.
