Sorry shoulda explained the jargon... Drop-shot is when the player drops from standing to prone and shoots you whilst doing so. Wasnt before possible in BF3 as there was a slight delay/animation going from standing to prone before you could fire your weapon (understandably due to realism)
 
I hear they are rented servers now, and on the Xbox it's nigh on impossible to get a match in a DICE hosted servers, so if you end up in a paid for server, and you're pwning the host, he can just kick you. What a joke that is

That sucks!! Im on PC so I cant say Ive noticed this yet but hope it doesnt become too common
 
I haven't fired up BF3 in a few weeks now. My bread and butter M416 wasn't really adjusted and I still deem IRNV useless. The G3A3 is another favorite of mine but I don't think I even tested it. I still need to try a large vehicle map to see if the jets are any harder to utilize now.

Havent played FIFA for some time... Believe the Euros expansion DLC is out soon so might get that. But i shall be indulging in some BF3 this weekend as ive not really given it much of my time of late. But thats gonna change ;)

Yeah i must admit im a little dissapointed with what ive seen of this new DLC as it seems to just be a mwp pack rather than an expansion... Id rather wait till the end of the year and have them release something with substance rather than rush out a pack of 4 maps and a couple new gatts! Im not overly fussed bout the close quarters thing tho... I can see why they have done it, to try prise away some COD fans and convert them to BF3. Which is understandable and i dont mind so long as they dont forget what BF is all about and diverge too far off that path
 
BF3 is a much bigger game than CoD. Takes a little more thought and tactics as opposed to CoD which tends to be a run and gun.

BF3 is pretty much the only game I've been playing for the fast few months.
 
I've played far more COD than I have BF. Here are my conclusions:

Play BF if you want fun, tactical games with friends or strangers you can actually talk to.
Play COD if you want to be repeatedly called a fag by 9 year old Americans.
 
Played TDM last night on Noshar Canals and kept getting killed by people who had torches on their guns.... Thought the patch had fixed this but obviously not. You can still be blinded by a torch in broad daylight!!

even worse you can be invisible in broad daylight standing 7ft infront of me
 
Are there still loads of cheaters running about? I remember a few games of getting headshot from across the map with AK-47s... while I was bunny-hopping around.
The funny thing is that cheating doesn't guarantee that your team will win. Whenever I find out someone is cheating, I kill them. A lot.
 
Cant say ive experienced any cheating other than the stuff i mentioned in this thread a few pages pack. So many people shout "CHEAT" when they are losing tho lol does make me laugh... Even ive been called one to which i replied "how?" and the guy couldnt answer.
I do face alot of frustrating gamers tho... Not cheats... Just dingdongs!! One in particular was a guy on Metro TDM he camped the entire game in 1 building he rigged with C4 and if that didnt get you he did... But as he was support he just infinately resupplied himself, replacing C4 everytime someone tripped it. I called him out and he was like "yeah so what ive killed you 22 time u killed me once... Whos the loser!?" what a complete bellend. People like that wind me up and push me to force quit and go look for a lobby with players who wanna play the game properly
