Australian Open 2012

Made all the difference. I've experienced this robbed feeling before

It certainly looked in, but the amount of unforced errors he had today, you can't complain. Still, I can't remember him playing that well in a semi/final againt a top seed in a slam. A little bit more with lendl and maybe he'll at least look a proper contender in a final.

Watching it here in China they showed the hawk-eye for it and it was out (I think we're talking about the same thing). When Djokovic was broken by Murray in the fifth there was a wrong call against him (Djokovic) as well.

I don't know what happened to Murray in that fourth set. It was almost like losing the third was the best thing that could happen to Djokovic.

Great match though and Murray is steadily improving.

Did you guys see the footage of Djokovic wolfing something down whilst hiding under his towel? Got no fudging idea what that was about.

6-5 Djokovic

Murray, you are a clam

but strangely you don't think you are..........

funny really - can you tell us which sports you are the 4th best in the world at?

Maybe we can all slag you off as well - if thats alright?

crapping on the floor like a dog isn't a sport though.

From the Serbs I'm friends with, he was probably sinking some Rakia, to steady the nerves!

stupid comment IMV

as it suggests that the only reason he lost to Djokovic was that despite superior skill, he wasn't mentally tough enough

completely ignoring the fact that Djokovic has been unplayable for the last 18 months

he didn't choke, he got beaten by a better tennis player, currently in the form of his life.

To suggest that Murray is weak, is just ignorant

not as ignorant as calling him a clam mind you.

I watched the entire match.

Can I recommend you watch Murray's last service game?

Then come and tell us if you think he choked or not.

In case you don't have access to the match.

In the last service game of a Slam semi-final, Murray hit 3 unforced errors.

Weak.

If Spurs lost to Barca, or when England lose to Spain is that choking? No, it's just losing to someone who's better than you and the best in the world.

Fantastic effort by Murray today, he showed real mental strength when a set and a break down, and to come back in the final set. I believe he will win a slam

Dan, im sure you're sure diappointed mate but he gave it his all. First time in the tournament Djok had to dig real, real deep. He had him pinned for a good 2 hours earlier in the game. Murray did his best but he lost to the best player on the planet atm. No shame in that.

Im sure he can only mature from here on.

I watched it, and was disappointed for him. He gave everything he had and was probably knackered beyond measure, if you want to sum his entire performance up, based on that one game then you probably know as much about tennis as you do about skydiving, and I'll guess thats feck all.

Your comments and abuse make you look stupid and ignorant - and I know that you're not.

But I can change my mind

I don't think he choked today, he was just beaten by a phenomal player. In order for him to win a slam, I think he's going to have to get lucky and hope one of the big 3 gets knocked out in the semis or earlier, as it stands he has to beat one in the semis and one in the final in order to win one of the slams. I think he could beat one, but not two of the 3. There's no question he's still too cautious, he doesn't take the game to his opponent like he needs to, he just waits for them to make mistakes.

Really don't get all the hatred for him, yeah he's miserable, but so is Tiger Woods and yet people still love him. I suppose anything is acceptable as long as you win.

Nadal now has a big advantage as he had his usual walkover of Federer, whilst Djokovic had to go nearly 5 hours with Murray, and Nadal has an extra day's rest.

There's definitely some mental block stopping Federer beating Nadal, he's clearly the better all round player.

How many more years has federer got left in him? great player but tennis now seems to be so physical that i think that is the side that stops him winning anymore slams.

He was the only player to beat Djokovic in a slam last year. He just can't beat Nadal. If he was in a final against anyone other than Nadal and possibly Djokovic, I'd still put good money on him winning.

Come on, he's old in tennis terms ! Physical ?? It's always been physical, and funnily enough when you get older, you lose certain aspects of it. But talentwise, shotmaking wise, he just makes everyone, everyone jaws drop. He's aweseome, he's fedex ! in 2011 he was the one who managed to stop nole on that amazing run in the french wasn't it ?

Murray played amazingly well, against an amazingly good World no.1. If Murray continues the trend, he'll grab a slam, it's all in his head, and lendl is sitting there, one of the past masters on the mental side of the game.

I also wanted petra to do maria, wasn't to be, as she said, she wasn't aggressive enough on some of the big moments in that game. Like to see azarenka give sreamapova a good game - orgasm on the court !!!

I agree from my limited knowledge of tennis that federrer is amazing despite his age to still be at the top.

Gone off nadal, no real reason to back up this just do not like him so much anymore.
