Remember when we smashed Roma 5-0 in preseason? Darren Bent got a brace and club record signing David Bentley had scored on (one of?) his first game(s)? Juande Ramos had set us up for an excellent start to the season and was surely going to take us to the promised land of the Champions League?

That was the same pre season that Bent got 4 against Norwich and a hat-trick against Orient.

I also think we played some virtually non league Spanish side in a training camp and won by about 10 goals and won the Feyeneord Jubilee with a 3-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund in a game Bent also scored in!
A preseason forever etched into our memories!
