I’m sure Poch has his reasons but it makes no sense to me that he’s played Kane for 90 minutes so often. Hes rotates everyone else at times but he’s flogged Harry when you’d imagine giving Llorente minutes in dead games would benefit everyone.

But far be it from me to suggest that I know more than Poch. I listed a bunch of decisions I’d have made contrary to his a few weeks ago that would have been utterly wrong. It was quite a dignity stripper because I realized for the first time that Levy probably won’t be offering me the job whenever Poch leaves.

I think that’s fair comment too. Llorente isn’t a complete donkey despite the last two games. He has a good career behind him and was very good for Swansea. I’m just not sure how much of how he looks now is down to not playing and how much is down to him not suiting our style of play.

He has a pre-season, he has trained every day.
If anything he would need match sharpness and hes had enough minutes this month to be able to do that.

Thought he was a great signing at the time, but i think the get a backup striker to Kane idea is dead. Get a backup to Son instead and play them upfront
He is 33, has completely lost any mobility that he may have had. There is zero way that Sterling wouldnt have done a better job in last 1.5 games

I think Tripper is still carrying an injury from the world cup. Not that I think he is great anyway but carrying an injury shows up his pace even more.

No I haven't forgotten that. And it would be difficult. We would undoubtedly be the underdogs. But they are not on a different level to us, this is ridiculous hyperbole to maybe make ourselves feel better. We are literally 1 place and 5 points behind them.

I wasn't saying the two City teams are the same, I was saying underdogs can and do win trophies against much better sides.

Is still a top team. Worse than one with Kane and Dele, sure. Worse than City, sure. But far better than the Wigan or Birmingham sides that won their trophies, better arguably than the Spurs side that won our last trophy. Far better than the Palace side that just beat City at the Etihad. Better than the Spurs side which fluked a 2-1 win vs Liverpool when we were bottom of the table.

Cup games, especially finals do not compare to league games so no point at all in using them as comparators for a cup final. It is very rare that the underdog wins. That team you have suggested would be hammered by City imo.

*By ordinary I mean compared to the top teams.

I would add Dembele to the list of Talismen when he was in his pomp. Don’t get me wrong, I do rate players such as Verts, Toby, Rose, Son Lamela and Moura - highly, but I believe they are a level down from our 3 talismen. Imo we need those talismen tobeat the top teams like City.

We have some great players at this club. If they were playing together for manure or liverpool
they would have a different level of confidence and win things. This is the problem with our club,is it not?

Doesn't really bother me that we lost. However, once again we were tinkle poor in the 1st half. This seems to be happening a lot, and I wonder why that is. Apart from a few games, we've been much better in the 2nd half.
