Agreed on Spence, I think he should’ve been playing him more, I assume there has been a reason but frankly no reason any more, the guy has been tremendous today. Let’s see how many he bloods second-half. I’d expect to see a few on the 60th minute. BTW, square-pegs round holes…we’ve seen less of that than usual because most of our players are multi-positional and we play in a way which allows them to adapt. Gray and Bergvall are two examples.

No, it's not about protection, it's about Ange not using what he has it his disposal.

Seriously when is Gray going to get played as a DM? Where he is meant to play. We have no other DM's at the club and our midfield has desperate for a DM.

We have loaned Philips out, why? We need him, and he should be getting game time with us... But Gray and Davis, both of whom are not CB's are getting time there... Davis or Reg should be giving Udogie a rest...

Richy is just injured all the time, feel sorry for him, but he is not good for us at all. Veliz and Lankshear, should be rotated with Solanke, and with each other in Europe.

Devine should be given a chance in midfield, provides something the rest of the team doesn't do.

Tired of hearing this needs to protect, players are not ready garbage... Bloody play them, they cant be any worse than the shower of brick we have been watching for the last 40 odd games.

I don't think anyone disagrees with the notion that we'd like to have seen more of Spence. What interests me is why we haven't. He has been injured this season as well.

05-0 and still out for me...Spence confirms that Ange isn't a really good judge of talent. (Kulu in the middle was also a forced decision. )

You couldn't make this brick up. 70 very good minutes and suddenly Ange, who's won league titles in 3 countries, a continental trophy and 30-40 years of experience can't judge talent. But you can? Some random bloke who watches a few football games?

Honestly...how do people not have more self-awareness?

We have loaned out young players to get more consistent game time than they would have gotten here to help with their development. That's a good thing.

I think it's partly about protection, I don't think it's as much about protection from fans reaction as Steff does. But more than being about protection I think it's about giving them what Ange thinks they'll need for their development.

I think he's done well with both Gray and Bergvall. Both are very talented players, but both are new to the club and league and 18 years old. Already now, half way into their first season here getting PL starts and doing well.

We can't know how they would have done if used earlier, in tougher games, in different positions. But they're seemingly developing well and that's a good thing.

These youngsters developing well is more important to us as a club than short term results imo.

If you don't think a young player being thrown in at the deep end can be worse than underperforming experienced very good players that's on you.

Ange is the one who brought him back into the fold in the summer. Ange apparently did enough to convince him to sign a new contract. I don't think Ange does either of those things if he doesn't see quality in Spence.

We don't know why Ange hasn't used him more earlier. It seems to me extremely unlikely that the reason for not using him has been that Ange doesn't rate him as a player. He'd have been sold, loaned or given the Reguilon treatment if that was the case.

I've been puzzled by how little game time he's gotten, but I think Ange more than deserves the benefit of the doubt on this.

In. We have been here before when we have sacked managers when we probably should have seen it out, as long as we dont go down the table, which after yesterdays result and performance, I dont think we will do.

Until ENIC and Levy are no longer here, then we have to back the manager as supporters. Because once we turn on the manager, we know shortly after Levy does too.

Yeah and people know more about tactics than Mourinho and Conte. Even that clown at Southampton knows more about football than all of us put together but if I were a Saints fan, I'd still want him out.

Same goes for Postecoglou: he's got a long career in football. So what? With that line of thinking, you can't comment on anything except maybe your job (assuming you're good at it) and a couple of topics you know a few things about.

It would be more convincing to argue that he was right to keep him out of the team (after all, he was injured) rather than question people's right to criticise the manager.
