Indeed. I'm sure United are still well capable of 'entertaining' their fans.

On a sidenote: what a heartbreaker for Bilbao...to have that feeling this is all setting up so nicely for the dream scenario...a European final in your own stadium...then for a night like that to happen
(I thought only WE were capable of bubble popping on that level)

I wouldn't write Bilbao off for the second leg. United are almost as bad as us.

They are but I did wonder after Lyon if their name is somehow on the trophy because it’s a miracle they didn’t go out that night.

If we play them in the final, it’s massive on so many levels. It’s not just about us securing our immediate financial future, it’d be about screwing them out of theirs and vice versa.

That prick Bruno is the biggest worry in any game against them.

I hope that we win the ropey…. shake Anges hand and say thanks. And then move on.

I can't see him being retained whatever the outcome. Too many things have gone wrong under his watch.

A win in the Europa (which has been full of sides this season of a level which is equivalent to the bottom 3 of the PL and below) will be excellent for the club, but will mean little long term. I can't see the club doing a Ten Haag.

The amount of negativity is shameful. Both in the media and from some Spurs fans. Ange was on point regarding the media and some of my fellow fans are no help in countering the negativity. Yes we have had a bad league run but we are on a good continental competition run. We should all be excited and hopeful that we can make that final! Bring some positivity to that. And oh yeah, I am still firmly Ange in!
I am excited about the EL - it's awesome!

What excites you about finishing 16/17th?

Clearly you’ve managed to block out the memory of that 2012 CL final when Bayern bottled it in the Allianz Arena!

I am really conflicted tbh. I would love a trophy. But if it means him staying on, I think I would choose him leaving first. The league is where it's at ultimately and his inability to deal with that speaks volumes. With a better manager, our improved recruitment and bigger spending power, I think the future is bright.

I fear if Ange wins the EL everyone will be on a high and forget how dreadful the season has been otherwise. Like what happened to Ten Hag after the FA cup win last season. But I so want to win the EL too!

Nah, it’s been far too bad for that to happen.

What is a reasonable amount of negativity for a team that has lost 18 league matches in a season? I think Ange is being disingenuous. It’s up to him to give the fans and media something to be positive about. Especially the fans who have given him lots more leeway than other managers.
