In other news. Liverpool "fans" on social media sending online death threats to Tarkowski for a tackle on one of their players.

Puts our little conversation above into perspective.

Wouldn't be surprised if Everton have set up bots to make the "death threats" so they can post a noble and righteous statement out to deflect attention.

When you fudge up, find (or create) a nutcase online going in too hard and publicly declare your outrage. Hope that people forget what the incident was in the first place. Move on whilst feeling morally superior.

Maybe. I think judging his actions that can be seen many ways is possibly unfair
His interview though was clear

It's all becoming smoke to me at this stage of his tenure.

I so wanted to be wrong about this guy. My early instincts were always that he would come up short. However, I did think he'd be the first manager for a while to be replaced at his plateau point. I thought he'd get stuck in the EL/ECL league positions and need replacing so we could press on. Shows what I know.

Seems a waste of a good bot when Trump and Putin are on this planet

he needs to go. We are getting worse and worse and no injuries as an excuse now.

One tactic only - dominate possestion and score goals - well 30% poss and 1 shot and no goals - total brick show.
Crowd is against him totally now
No Plan B or C only his one stubborn way of playing.
his attitude is getting out of hand.

I was on on the fence with the injuries. But no excuses now. Out! out!

I'm with you. I went early on him not having any hope of winning something here (which I may still be proven wrong on) but I did say that I thought he'd leave having done a similar job to BMJ and would be held in the same esteem.

He's dragged us into unimaginable territory. 14th. 10 points off top 10. 16 defeats in 30 games. Those stats are just beyond unacceptable.

We had two shots on target last night - VDV's stab at the ball and Sonny's one where he was stretching. Against Fulham, it was 4 shots on goal. In both games we didn't have a strike in either first half. This is from a supposedly front foot attacking team. In both games we've been close to full strength and had time to prepare.

Defensively, we've been a shambles in both games particularly for the 3 goals. The excuses are gone, this is who were are at the moment.

He's a busted flush. The swagger and belief of the early months is gone. The players don't believe in it anymore. You can see it in how they (don't) attack, you can see it in how they defend. You can see it in the interviews like Maddison's. It's over. He's a dead man walking and it's mind boggling why the trigger hasn't been pulled yet.

I want him to be a success, but we look tactically all over the shop. Its not even a trade off anymore between attack and defence, we are just looking like a kids football team at times. We have numbers behind the ball and we look ridiculous defensively

He's doubled down today on the lie I see.

"My response was to celebrate and to get them to make some noise and get behind the team.
"I thought it was a real momentum shifter in that moment because we did finish stronger. I guess my mistake was celebrating a goal that VAR has defeated me again and I won't be doing that again.”

Haha what? Where did I get personal? Calling him defeatist??

And no, my beef is not because I'm worried about Ange. I'm sure he can handle it. It's because I don't think it's helpful to Spurs. That's it. Just like I thought the name calling of Ndombele was pathetic. I called that out on here at the time -- every time I saw him called "fatboy" I felt the same way.
i would say so, surmising someone is defeatist from an opinion from a football board is getting slightly personal as it’s a very big leap of faith from one post

I don’t think “ You don’t know what you’re doing” is abusive

I never said it was.

In fairness, @Lilbaz was replying to my post where I said fans have a right to articulate their frustration as long as they aren't being threatening to players or the manager. He did clarify that what Ange experienced last night didn't fall into the "abuse" category.

Yes. I agree that fans have the right to boo or show their displeasure. Footballers can take the cheers they can take the jeers. But personal abuse is uncalled for.

I’m not surprised. He’s made an excuses all season. People are forgiving and not unreasonable but they’re naive or stupid. If you make a mistake just own it and say I fudged up, I let the pressure get to me and I reacted in a bad way. He’s just compounded now. How or why he’s still in the job I find puzzling.
