Again as i flip flop, i also come back to the point, lots of folks saying "oh but our injuries."

I was sat there, in my usual ST seat, North Upper, as we lost 2-1 to Ipswich.

that team:

Vicario
Porro Romero Dragusin Udogie
Kulu Bentancur Sarr
Johnson Solanke Son

VDV was the only miss from first team. A lot of folks, mostly the Ange In phalanx keep telling us it'll be OK and i keep asking, on what basis? what evidence tells you this? because our form was toilet at the second half of last year too.

The process is correct. Doesn't mean Ange is the man to do it.

We've had disappointing performances and results with most of our starting 11 on the pitch too, no doubt. Including that game.

We have underlying issues with consistency, imo some of that is a mentality thing.

That can be true while it also being true that the main reasons for our current really poor stretch of performances and results being injuries and fatigue.

My main evidence as part of the phalanx is how good we've been when we've been good. I think it's obvious that we can get back to that when not having a ton of injuries and a lot of fatigue.

Then one question is can those underlying issues with inconsistency be sorted out. We don't know yet, I think they can. A fairly young team struggling with inconsistency improving on that over time isn't exactly unheard of.

Another question is can the squad be improved to the point that it helps with vulnerability to injury problems. I think undoubtedly yes, we're already seeing Gray, Spence and Bergvall step up under Ange and we're seeing overall very good recruitment imo.

I also think a better squad helps with the inconsistency issues. I think a part of that has been due to a lack of options/profiles as well as the mentality thing.

I think that’s a very fair summation of the situation, we're in a really pivotal few weeks/months.
You would hope a lot of hard thinking is being done behind the scenes.

I wonder if Munn falls on his sword over employing a PE teacher?

Maybe give Paratici his formal role back, or get Ashworth in between Lange and the board?
When you employ a headmaster as in your top football role then you shouldn't expect to do any better than employing a PE teacher for the first team coach role.

Form table since 24th November:

15. Wolves
16. Brighton
17. Everton
18. Tottenham
19. Leicester
20. Southampton

How long do you suggest we keep running data points though?

I get what you're saying about the form table which strongly correlates to other really important stats.

However, I'll be trying to hold my nerve until end of season minimally. We're in 3 cup competitions and I'd finish bottom half and win any of them.

I want to see Ange with his main men back, knowing that these other players have grown enormously these last couple of months.
