Andy Robertson

Interesting start to life as a Spurs player.

I think what we have is a very front foot full-back. It's years and years of habits based on a long tenure in a successful attacking side. Personally, I don't think Robbo was ever a "great" defender. He doesn't read situations and he doesn't do things like instinctively pivot behind his centre halves or minimally tuck in to make sure they're not left 1 on 1. He naturally sits in space ready to be fed the ball so he can attack again. I think he quite likes a duel with his right winger though. He loves to press them back.

I actually think we need Robbo to adapt his game. He hasn't got the legs anymore and many Pool would tell you he's been quite leggy for the last couple of seasons. I don't think we've looked very secure with him at LB so far.

The other challenge is Udogie needs to find full fitness and go through the gears as a player. He needs to work incredibly hard at his game and iron out some of his flaws. He has some raw ingredients to be fair.
