Android Box

Ermm what quality of Broadband would one require to get any joy from this tech? Here in the Shire we are blessed with no more than 4mb. :(

Loose lips sink ships...
Been on this for years, but the moment it is on a forum like this you know it isn't long before they shut it down

They shut stuff down anyway, BT try and block certain sites... but the developers are always one step ahead and another work around pops up!

Anyone had the same problem ?
Just went into My Apps on my android M8 box and my DP installer and the app to install Netflix and others apps has vanished and I ddidnt delete it. Does anyone have a fix for this ?

I'm more confused than ever!
So the droidstick comes with an Xbmc setup that has all the addons configured. You don't have to do anything. Saves you hours of research and configuring.

If you have an android box like an M8 like me then you can pay £40 and get it.

A friend of mine has a droidstick and hopefully he can get a backup of his setup and give it to me for free. Hoping.

I preferred it when it was talking about birds ;)

im reading elsewhere the T8 is the way to go atm - should i be able to get this up and running out of the box or do i need to source all the add-ons and the like myself?

A friend has got the droidstick one today and all the addons are on there out of the box. The big thing about droidstick is that the after care is brilliant. They constantly update their ****. Provide remote support.

There is a major issue with the M8 box. Every time you you unplug from the power it completely wipes the xbmc software off and you have to re install. The more it happens the more unstable it becomes. Major fault with the system as now I have re set it up for the 5th time I'm scared to turn the box off. Does anyone know why it's doing this or do u have a faulty box ?

Sounds faulty. Mine is fine.

I am tempted to get this rather than messing about with all the add-ons - http://www.droidsticks.co.uk/droidsticks-xbmc-kodi-wizard/

Comes with everything, live tv, movies etc...

£40 but seems worth it for no hassle - http://www.droidsticks.co.uk/shop/remote-droidsticks-installation-for-smart-tv-boxes-and-sticks/

Or I might sell the M8 and get a whole droidsticks box with this on it for £120

Not sure.

http://www.tvaddons.ag/config-wizard-kodi/
Save the 40 quid, not sure if live tv works though

Well, I'm getting XBMC and XBTV installed on my laptop. Gonna give that a go then if I like it, get one of these box thingies.

if you buy from jugglingfrogs.co.uk - these are the same guys who supply thru ebay on truckers_gps (seller name)
They are excellent, you will also get an "out of the box" working solution.

Check their forum out http://jugglingfrogs.co.uk/jfrogsupport/

daily updates, great support. Droid sticks also have a good rep.

Do not ..... Buy from Juggling Frogs, i bought 5 boxes from them, the boxes were useless and the support was pathetic, i ended up reporting them to ebay.

For anyone who's thinking of getting into XBMC i cant rate these highly enough, their support is second to none and their kit albeit a bit more expensive comes loaded with anything you could ever want.

Looking at the prices of a lot of those boxes they seem to be expensive for the hardware. Doesn't it make sense to buy a FireTV at £80 and put XBMC with the addons on? It's powerful hardware subsidised because Amazon think people will use it to watch their subscription tv.
