Or maybe we were never in for him... maybe Pochettino doesn't rate him as much as some of the people here, and maybe we shouldn't assume that just because the papers and ITKs are talking about something that there is even a single shred of truth to it. The "no smoke without fire" thing only makes sense in a world where agents and journos aren't constantly running around with smoke machines in an attempt to drum up interest in their players / stories.
