Veiled questions about his name and ethnicity should be hugely beneficial, handled well but instead the response was insular and even slightly jingoistic. Yes the Dem party who gave America Biden, when they/we needed anything but Biden.

I didn’t like his victory speech either. We need a move away from aggressive triumphalism, not a doubling down on as it as normal, as you say.
