If US attacks do happen tonight, I really hope we are not facilitating that by allowing the US to use our airbases.
As despicable as the Iranian regime is, we should not be complicit in any attacks on civilian infrastructure.

Its amazing that over the last GHod knows how many years the fear and rhetoric has been sown that we should be worried about Russia, North Korea and Iran using nuclear weapons, when the real aggressors who twerk about their nuclear power are the unhinged Yanks. This article seems to have been dictated to the NYT by JD Vance in a desperate attempt to distance himself from Trump and the war just as everything goes to brick, just before he fudged off to Hungary to try and swing the election for a Putinist. Moderately interesting read, though, as an explainer of how we got here and why nobody was able to stop it.

Its a good thing when people are willing to call out their own side. We need way more of that. The people that voted for and supported a candidate should hold them more accountable than anyone else.

I think if you define 'liberation' in the current actions -and if you view previous pledged 'liberations'- you might well be enduring a crisis of 'desire'. Honestly, just read All The Shah's Men. Please.
