There is quite a a simple analysis here.

All the autocrat, tyrant, dictators...call them what you will, will never say a bad word about each other, simply because the bad brick one dictator is doing, the other will want to be doing as well. Trump is so obviously part of that group, we can't allow him to have a cosy foot in both camps. He has and shows zero respect for any of the 'normal' leaders. I think a big decision/rethink is needed.
GHod yes, he is desperate to be like the others in the dictator club. Stupid brick like that parade are all part of it.

What is a little different with the current situation in Iran is that there must be at least some degree of conflict on how to proceed. He has been fondling Bibi's balls in one hand and Putin's in the other, and so with Iran being a close Russian ally, the choice of whom to satisfy most (ew!!!) is not totally clear.

One silver lining, if you can call it that, is that Iran will have fewer shaheds to share with Russia for the Ukraine war going forward.
